Space of cyclic change
Pavlíčková, Tereza ; Jakšík, Petr (referee) ; Rozwalka, Szymon (advisor)
The search for the ideal function and form in response to the cyclical variability of the place offers several possibilities, but each approach to the issue is different. Throughout my work, I have drawn on-site analysis and the study of theatre and concert halls. Last but not least, I have been studying the literature of Rem Koolhaas- Junkspace and the texts of Maxim Gorka, thanks to which I have been able to create a semi-open raster structure and gain a new perspective on the matter and its mutability.

Auto center VW Mikulov
Kováčik, Branislav ; Bílek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to create documentation for a building permit and documentation for the construction of a building, the basic compositional and architectural design of which is based on a previously processed architectural study within the subject AG033 - Atelier of production buildings. This is a design project of the Volkswagen Group Autocentre in Mikulov. The specified land intended for development is located in the westernmost part of the town of Mikulov in the cadastral territory of the town of Mikulov, it is an industrial zone of the town. The surrounding buildings are largely made up of low-rise large-scale buildings, production halls, storage facilities or agricultural buildings and their accessories. Within the zoning plan, the area adjacent from the south side to Jiráskova Street is listed as a brownfield. The shape of the land predetermines the proposed construction of the longitudinal shape of a deep character, as the land is stretched in the north - south direction and has the shape of a gradually narrowing trapezoid. The terrain is slightly sloping and descends to the south. From the south side, a wastewater treatment plant is adjacent to the solved area. The bachelor's thesis also deals with the solution of the external modifications of the area, including transport infrastructure, stratification and the number of parking spaces. An essential part is also the distribution and character of the upper and lower greenery, the location and shape of the areas intended for demonstration vehicles. Last but not least, the work deals with the solution of engineering networks within the technical equipment of buildings and technical infrastructure, management of waste, etc. The proposed building respects the floor plan delimitation of the land, primarily by maintaining the parallelism of the perimeter walls with these boundaries. The central element of the mass composition is an extravagantly designed ellipse used as the main exhibition space, opened by a large-area rounded glazing into the entrance area of the exterior. The remaining masses of the building are formed by blocks of different height levels, which achieves the compositional principle of gradation. The completely monotonous mass of the production hall is broken in each field by a massive skylight encircling the building along the entire perimeter of its section. The building has premises for warehousing, administrative activities, exhibition premises, technical facilities and premises belonging to professional workplaces of car mechanics. All material segments of the building are interconnected by internal passages. The whole building has a purely industrial character, which is based on the character and purpose of use of the building and has a connection with the automotive industry. The main materials used in the construction of this building are structural steel, concrete and thermal insulation perimeter panels. The façade emphasizes the essence of the ellipse, which is largely-glazed, while the storage and production areas are hidden in the rear and their visual layer is formed by sheet metal in gray, respectively. white color.
Woman´s Clothing Factory
Kovářová, Hana ; Štikar, Jaroslav (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor) ; Donaťáková, Dagmar (advisor)
The women´s clothing factory is situated in the city part Brno-Židenice in the area of one so called „brownfields“. Currently there are rusty storages and old garages standing in the building ground. The site is bordered by several streets – it is Rokytova street, Komprdova street and Údolíček street – and the fourth side is closed by boundaries of a cemetery. The area can be entered from the north-west street Údolíček. According to the ground plan, its location is temporary, so we changed it a little to better match the needs of the company. The entrance for pedestrians is situated at the north-west too. And there are also parking places and other necessary manipulation space situated on the grounds. The clothing factory is aimed at production of Giorgio Armani´s women confection so the architectural solution is based on the basic philosophy of the company. Their models are famous for their simple design with a patterned fabric that make them special. So the basic mass of the object is a simple block, which is sensitively placed at the surrounding landscape and which is made special by the parts of ovals that are embedded or comming out of the basic mass. These parts of ovals create both – resting and functional spaces. The strong horizontal character is broken by a cylindrical body stucked into the basic shape that surmounts the block by one floor. A big part of the production hall is glassed-in so we can get enough light into the interier and the employees can be in touch with the surrounding. There is a facade net strunged in front of the glass facade. The net limits overheating and also plays the role of the unifying element. The building integrates a producion hall, storages, sanitary rooms, administrative space, canteen with affilated spaces and energy traffic necessary for running the factory. The wing cell is a steel skeleton combined with reinforced concrete circumferential wall and tie brick walls.
New town hall for the district Brno-North
Cejpek, Petr ; Němec, Josef (referee) ; Ruller, Ivan (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to propose the Town Hall for the city part Brno-sever (Brno-Nord). The Town Hall is placed in a newly designed urban structure, which is located on the territory of today's barracks in Černé Pole. The locality is located in the imaginary geometric center of the city and because of it the site is becoming a convenient location for the Town Hall. The main aim was to create the Town Hall changing during the time, which would respond to the additional larger footprints to the place and would respond to the adding further spaces not only with the function using for the purposes of the Hall. The new Town Hall is designed to enrich the urban space.
